Our holiday partnership with Hedley and Bennett this year was a stroke of genius! Ellen and her amazing team have been so much fun to work with! It all started last year with a trip to their super fun factory in Vernon to dream up magical working aprons for our arrangement baristas. Which they LOVE!

What started with a warm welcome into their factory (one that included ice cream) turned into a solid brainstorming session about colors, textures and how our logo would be incorporated onto the aprons. We left that day with an order AND the start to a new friendship that has grown so much!

This year we got the chance to sit down and have a creative brainstorm session among both of our teams that led to ideas like partnering for our Holiday Premiere, talking to different chefs for book signings, styling tables for Ellen’s brunches + so much more! After the H&B Team + Ellen came to our Holiday Premiere, we launched into full styling and decorating mode (seriously—it got crazy.)

Ellen came to Rolling Greens and worked directly with our Creative Team in store to handpick some AMAZING holiday items that served as factory décor for their Black Friday event!

We had so much fun spreading holiday cheer around the Hedley & Bennett HQ—it was a true team effort! Huge + lush faux garlands framed the top of their tree house. Faux is a great option for seasonal décor. We love any hassle free options during the busy holidays! If faux isn’t your style fresh wreaths and garlands are great for lots of reasons, number one being the smell!! We have so many options in store for your holiday greenery! It’s also fun to make your own if you have a crafty side, that’s why we host fun workshops each holiday season.

Using the Hedley & Bennett crates, we created an entrance vignette with their new linens + textiles. Mini faux trees in an array of sizes + containers added in the touch of greenery. Creating vignettes with odd numbers such as three or five is key—it creates a balanced and more interesting look! To finish off everything, we created mini faux arrangements in their front planter boxes—nothing goes better together like frosty white flocked greens and red spray berries!

The huge 12’ tree was next… “Food brings people together” as Ellen would say—that was definitely a focus for this tree! We pulled a selection of faux greenery, cutting boards + faux food (think FROSTED OKRA!) to create an innovative tree that’s never been seen before. Varying sizes of ornaments in gold, white and red created a base, then we added in the fun! Artichokes, berries, frosted tillandsia, giant snowflakes and flocked branches are just a few of the cool accents that completed this tree!

The key to decorating a tree this big is to always start with the lights (unless it’s a faux guy—like this one and already has the lights!) When our team decorates a tree we start with the biggest items first and make sure to spread those items out in a diamond shaped pattern! That way they are evenly spaced and the tree is balanced. Then fill in the rest with the next size down in the same diamond pattern until you run out of your pieces! To secure fragile pieces we secure them in the tree with floral wire that way there is no way that guy will fall off and break.

We finished the tree with hanging baskets—genius! Then we stocked them with Hedley & Bennett linens in red + coral tones.  The finishing touches were with the bright + fun strap rolls.  Since the tree was SO big, we had to fling them up and over the tree, which was pretty fun! Then we tucked and maneuvered them into the branches to create a gorgeous rippled effect.

If you think we stopped there, you thought wrong. We went straight to the picnic benches next and started arranging florals with linens + napkin alongside La Colombe Coffee. If you haven’t tried one of their draft lattes—you are truly missing out!  Steaming cortados, pretty plates and cedar cuttings all made their way onto some really rad tablescapes!

We spent an entire day playing around with the Hedley & Bennett team and couldn’t be more excited about how their warehouse turned out for the holidays! We can’t wait until the next season so we can come in and play all over again!
